This might be my 1998 MOTY. Excellent matwork, continuity with the past, all time great heel character work + terrific selling by Satanico and a really intense, no nonsense offensive performance by Lizmark. Brilliant finish.

Seconded. I thought the matwork in the first fall was pretty bad. Both guys looked loose as fuck and Lizmark took way too much with little struggle from Satanico. The facelock especially looked pretty soft, which is bad as that seemed to be treated as a big deal in the match. Things picked up big in the second fall as the focus shifts more towards Satanico's character work. Lizmark starts working on the back and Satanico turns in a really good helpless old man selling performance, but then he did that awesome low blow transition and I remembered what a great heel he could be. Loved his facials when he was in control, though his attempt at a double wristlock didn't look too hot. Stretch run seemed pretty typical CMLL with them just kind of forgetting the story and trading near falls, and the double pin finish brought it down a tad for me. Flashes of brilliance, but nowhere near a great match.

Third. Sorry but not a good match. Somebody must argue why its great when i just dont see it. Good fujiwara type defensive selling as well as heel work by satanico. Matwork and holds with lizmark griding satainco while satanico is selling good with great sweating and facials. But the stretch run had downright terrible offense and bad execution. Them just trading weak shit that has nothing to do with narrative and had no sell almost all things. That part was pathetic even tho some moves by both were hard. Many matches in 98 easily smoke this imo. Not making my list had some flashes of greatness but barely good overall.

Ok match. Dunno if it's one of Satanico's Top 100 though.
