Cactus Jack vs Triple H - Hell In A Cell - WWF World Heavyweight Championship - No Way Out 2000 - WWF - 2/27/2000
It's my favorite hell in a cell match of all time. I like the moment when Triple H throws a stair into Jack's head, it's very brutal. All the match is brutal, in fact. Stephanie McMahon is good too. She shows some supports and concerns about Triple H and his match. She's happy when Cactus Jack is beated up by her husband. Cactus Jack plays the crazy fearless very well. The bump at the top of the cage is insane. He's right to do open the fire. The end is emotional, it's the end of Cactus Jack's career. Jim Rosse has very touching words regarding Mick Foley. JR and King do very well their job.

Second Really great under stated match. The ending and post match walking out the were both fantastic. Probably in the top four best in WWE's Hell in a Cell matches.A good compliment to there Royal Rumble match.

Third. It doesn’t get the same love as their Rumble match but I have a real soft spot for it. Easily my go-to Cell match.

After rewatching both this match and the Rumble match, this is clearly the better of the two, for me. I understand the love for the Rumble match in being an intense brawl whereas this match kinda deviates into a spotty “holy shit” type ordeal but I don’t necessarily agree. I typically do not like contributes, spotty matches either implementing weapons or stunts but this works for me. The Rumble match saw Triple H asserting his dominance and Foley pulling out gimmicks in order to finally slay the beast, so to speak and Triple H was able to take advantage of it at every turn. The Rumble saw Foley getting hot-headed which ultimately hurt him. The HIAC match sees Foley, with his career on the line upping the ante, as necessary but not with any apprehension. He clearly is a man with nothing to lose and thusly the escalation into crazier and crazier moments feels natural. I feel as if today, A wrestler would’ve kicked out at the end but there’s something so natural and fitting about Foley coming to life, when he has no reason to and then dying his last breath and accepting his fate.
Some knock the match for it not actually being Foley’s last match, that doesn’t bother me because I still feel like it was and everything that took place afterwards was an epilogue or tribute to his career. That being said I haven’t seen the Wrestlemania 2000 match since it was live and I choose to believe it never happened. ****3/4

For me the knock here isn't that FOley didn't stay retired (we knew back in 2/20 that he wasn't gonna stay retired), but its something FOley himself pointed out in one of his books way back when. During the build up, they put the focus so much on the idea that Foley was gonna come off the top of the cage that the crowd was just waiting for them to do that and wasn't connecting to the first half of the match at all. That's something I'd keep an eye on when rewatching this.
Last time I watched the Rumble match, I still thought it was awesome.

I still love this match. It’s still my favorite cell match.
I am at the point where I’m done even trying to pretend I like the Rumble match at all.

Rumble match doesn't hold up. Super boring. Foley is very overrated.

I could never call Foley overrated because that doesn’t enter my radar. Same with Eddie Kingston. Those are two guys just based on being them. I want them to win. I do not care about anything else but them winning.
Not many guys have ever been able to do that for me.

I'm just looking at performances. Wins/losses aren't something I think about.

I can’t say wins and losses matter. I’m Talking about being invested in a character regardless of any specifics in terms of the performances.
