Daisuke Ikeda vs. Yuki Ishikawa (BattlArts - 7/29/1999)
This has quickly become one of my favorite pairings in wrestling. Every submission, strike, and maneuver is done with the sole purpose of inflicting the most punishment imaginable. It's not so much jockeying for position as much as it is trying to finish the job. This is especially evident with how both men explode with strikes after each exchange on the mat. Ishikawa's desperation in the later stages of the match and Ikeda's stiffness also stand out. The finish is also fantastic.

Make sure yall watch the 8/29/99 match. I think their best match together is a toss up between the 30min draw, 8/29/99 and 4/24/05.

I'll go ahead and put this through. Elliot's comment is close enough to a second and I'll third. Plus the original post was close to enough for a direct nomination.

Noob question, but looking at the similarities with the date, are we sure this and the August match aren't the same?
