Maybe the most famous of their matches. Known for Hansen destroying Tenryu before the bell and Tenryu hitting a nice gusher for his bladejob. Tenryu spends the match fighting to survive after starting out deep in the hole. Both guys look like badasses coming out of it.

Second.
Probably won't make my ballot but still a really great match and probably the best of their series. Hansen does a great job brutalizing Tenryu and Tenryu's comebacks are all sorts of fire.

This match really got across Tenryu’s toughness with the blood, kickouts, and fighting from underneath. Hansen was a beast with good selling moments as well. I don’t know that this is a top 100 match for me but told a clear powerful story.

GOD this rules. We need to start mentioning this early when we start naming best Hansen & Tenryu matches. Good shot of making my ballot in 2025. It's like MS-Hansen vs Sangre Tenryu.

What a great ugly brawl this was. Don't think I've ever seen Tenryu bleed so much.
