Punk is back, his debut was perfect, and he looks genuinely happy. Should be good stuff to come. And Bryan's debut is imminent and possibly happening at All Out. What a time to be alive in wrestling.

Honestly, I can't remember the last time I was this hyped. Two of my favorite wrestlers ever (one I consider to be the legit GOAT) are joining a roster/product that already has me as jacked as for current wrestling as I have probably ever been in my adult life.... just preposterously awesome stuff.
I want to echo MVZ's point. I don't know punk and I wont pretend like what we see in the ring is always representative of what is going on behind the scenes, but Punk looks different. He looks comfortable and happy and inspired and I'm hope that is a reflection of reality.
AEW is just hitting right now. It is something else. I was at the Charlotte show and it was absolutely electric. The crowd was on fire for the whole thing, especially the Adam Page stuff and the Nick Gage vs Jericho. Not to get too personal, but I have been really distracted lately with some family health stuff and wrestling has always served as a distraction for me. AEW (and other stuff of course) has really been helping me take a mental break now and then. I'm just really happy AEW is around right now.

That had to have been awesome. Unfortunately haven't been able to go to any events even though Chicago is only a couple hours' drive. But I doubt I would have been able to get tickets even if I tried.

Not sure how many folks saw All Out, but goddamn that was one of the best shows I've ever seen.

Even if the wrestling itself wasn't as good, the big moments totally make this PPV a must see. At the end of the day, you're just excited to watch AEW next week, and that's all that matters.

Absolutely agreed. Struggling to think of any ppv that was as top-to-bottom consistent as that.

I'm prone to hyperbole anyway, especially when it comes to AEW, but yeah... this show was an all timer. I thought 8 out of the 9 matches were good to great. More importantly, I think they were good to great in different ways, so even if you are more discerning than I am about this product, I think there is something in there for most everyone. But the story is really the moments. I said it on twitter. Two of my top 12 wrestlers OF ALL TIME showed up in Danielson and Suzuki. What a a fucking night. I think a lot could be said about this show, but that is all I got right now.

I know a few of yall are watching AEW, but just thought I'd shout out the product for 2022. Dynamite hasn't been a hit every week, but we have gotten some REALLY good matches for different wrestling tastes so far this year and Adam Page is bleeding buckets to be ace in the company. Last night's Dynamite was super fun.

Last night's Dynamite has convinced me to start watching it live every week, which means I'm going to be staying up til 3am every Wednesday.

CM Punk is having the run of his career. Everything he touches is gold. I loved so many little things about Hangman and Archer last night. I really didn’t care for the ladder match a few weeks ago but many loved it. There’s kinda something for everyone. I don’t like everything but I didn’t like everything on Nitro & Raw 25 years ago. It’s the first wrestling that I think should be enjoyed live since that time. They just haven’t had any big misses since last summer. Enjoy the ride b

I will say, I did not expect Cody to be the first to jump ship from AEW to WWE.

I always felt like Cody was the most obvious first jump. It just always made sense to me. Still a shock.

With all that's come out, it definitely does seem like this was bound to happen. Jericho is probably gone next year.

Yeah, I agree that he (or Jericho) made the most sense to be the first to jump to WWE, but it still feels jarring that it is potentially happening. It really feels like all sides believed something would work out given how Cody and Brandi were used on TV. I'm increasingly confident that it isn't a work, but I'm not completely ruling anything out either.
I'll give him this, if Cody shows up on WWE tv I am going to be glued to what he does for at least the short term. Something like Cody v Reigns is about as overall intriguing as it gets right now. Between the shear fascination, uncertainty, inter-promotional ethos, and potential match quality... I'd be way into it.
We will see what happens though. I'm not sure this signals a flood of wrestlers leaving, but I wont be surprised if some do as contracts expire and AEW chooses not to resign people (something they have admitted will happen).

If you told me a year ago that the news of Steve Austin returning to the ring would end up being completely overshadowed by Cody Rhodes going back to WWE, I would have said you were nuts. I will say that Austin and Cody have me way more interested in WWE than I've been in a long time, even if it is mainly just morbid curiosity.
