I think casas is probably a little overrated. I prefer Santo.

The July 95 match has been pimped since July 95. Check out the comments about the match on pwo.

I got Al Perez on my list, but I also very much have Eddie Guerrero on there.
Lets face it... Eddie transcends the very concept of cool. I'll fight whoever says different.

Pretty sure Shane McMahon is the coolest wrestler ever. But seriously, I wanted to mention how the clipping on Lawler/Dundee 85 never bothered me. I think we still have like 90% of the match. More importantly, we definitely have the key story they were telling. Given the pacing of Memphis wrestling I think it's fair to assume they weren't doing a bunch of stuff in the time we're missing.

I think Fujiwara vs Super Tiger finishing 43rd is a real victory.

I never managed to get all the way through that 2/3 falls Okada v Omega match, but I didn’t think it was good and even though I knew those matches would do well and I have no right to say shit about shit because I never voted I am extremely RAGING that it finished ahead of Lawler/Dundee. I’d have had that top 10 and very likely my highest ranked match from the US and I have brought great shame upon my family.
Unless I’ve missed them dropping already it’s pretty cool that three Tamura matches will make the top 40. Actually...maybe four. Maybe. I don’t know and I can’t be arsed checking! Either way it’s cool.

This group was all about some shoot. Shoot style did quite well, which I was very happy about.
As for Dundee/Lawler 85. It still did real well on my list (#39) and still topped 83. I am not sure if it would be higher if we had the whole thing, likely not, but it still bugs me.
Super Tiger vs Fujiwara making the top 50 is pretty dope. It didn't make my list. Probably would have landed around 105-110 if I had to guess. I can see that match growing on me as I expand my appreciation for shoot. Fujiwara is like my fucking hero now so watching him first-fight a god damned tiger person is pretty amazing.

I don’t actually remember anything about that Fujiwara/Super Tiger match so I really should watch it soon. Their September ‘85 match was on my ballot somewhere in the bottom 30 and their series was probably as instrumental as anything in getting me properly into shoot style back when I did.
The more I think about it the more I’d guess Tamura would be the wrestler with the most matches on my list. I’d need to check whenever I can acces my working list again, but off the top of my head he’d be there seven or eight times. That’s not even including the ‘99 Yamamoto match that I haven’t seen yet.

Oh my god bro, get on that match asap!
The 12/84 Fujiwara/Tiger match always stood out in their series for me because the finish of Tiger just utterly destroying Fujiwara is super compelling

Gonna be a presumptuous asshole and say that when I initially came across this list I prepared to roll my eyes like I do for all 'greatest matches of all time' countdowns. I thought 'okay the bulk of the list will be 90s AJPW, modern WWE and 2000s Noah/ROH and will basically ignore all of the US territories apart from a few obvious matches like Flair/Steamboat'. Happy too see that isn't the case so far and delighted that Lawler/Dundee made the list as that feud and match is a favourite of mine. Knowing the interests of the people who submitted a ballot and the PWO crowd in general I wouldn't expect that at all. I'd really expect a list that was heavy on shoot style, classic lucha, and late 70s/early 80s territories. Which is what we have so far. If anything, I'm surprised by the high number of matches from the past two decades to make the list to be honest.
