Perfect example of weird Kawada selling that Elliott talks about. That sort of chicken leg selling is relatively common with boxing knockouts. here's a famous example. Eddie Kingston once claimed that Kawada liked to study videos of fighters getting knocked out for ideas on how to sell, which explains a lot for me.

I have a question to ask: can anyone think of a tag match where one member of the ' face ' team is a heel, and in cahoots with the heel team, only doing weak moves against the heel team.....but then turns face during the match and beats the crap out of the heel team?

vs La Parka at a First Aid Kit concert My buddies & I do this about every other year (we did a pod EP called All Monsoon Draft about drafting all-time rosters from our personal fandoms). I held back on stuff outside their knowledge for them (Joshi, Lucha), but I'd definitely be down if more are needed.

This might be worth a topic? The first three I thought of that you didn't name (Randy Savage is the GOAT name): Ravishing Rick Rude Andre the Giant Ric Flair "Dusty Rhodes" is also a fucking phenomenal name. Dammit, Dusty was totally on my list but somehow slipped my mind. Great list. The "Hitman Hart/heart," was another great one, but for a modern inclusion, I want to add "Rock Hard" Juice Robinson. Seriously chuckle almost every time they drop that one.

I have not seen this mentioned on this site, but I would like to put forward my case for why I feel Roman Reigns will win at Wrestlemania XL. 1) I have heard that he is making WWE record-breaking money; 2) WWE brought in that new World Championship so the main-eventers have something to scrap over; A babyface won in the main event at wrestlemania 10, 20 , and 30 - so Preparation H probably wants to freshen things up in that regard . I'm no wrestling genius but i'm really confident Roman won't lose at wm40. Also, i'm saying this as i want to put a dent in WWE's finances by discouraging people to order wm. i'm guessing roman drops the belt to Gunther at WM41.

I hope Tony Khan does not give in to fan-pressure and have Swerve Strickland win the world title. At least for a few years. Not handing Swerve the world title for a few years would make AEW's booking less predictable. I don't see much brave booking in the top North-American wrestling companies to be honest. With AEW world title matches, it's usually pretty easy to predict who will win the title match (the less-over guy the company is pushing). And WWE is so unbearable to watch partly due to it always being so obvious who will win (especially when it comes to LA Knight matches, Roman matches, Gunther matches etc) I bet wrestling booking is less predictable in Japan/Mexico etc.

First few things that come to mind are the Lawler vs Funk No DQ match, their Empty Arena match, the Lawler & Bam Bam Bigelow vs Austin Idol & Tommy Rich tag matches, anything from the Moondogs vs Fabulous Ones

Dude, that Okada debut was brilliant. Kingston is getting beaten up by the bucks, so okada appears, everyone pops, then okada attacks poor eddie kingston, lmao. freaking brilliant. thats how you do it.

The Bucks are the most interesting thing in wrestling for me now, especially if that’s it for Darby.
The Okada pairing is great because he flips sides in the same manner that got him the Rainmaker moniker in the first place. Firmly planting them against Kenny and keeping Hangman on the back burner since he’s transitioning to heel is a smart choice.
