Did anyone catch the self proclaimed Greatest Wrestling Match Ever last night? I am wondering if it is even "good".
If its better than Bryan v Styles from SD last week I'll drink my lava lamp.

What I saw of it looked fine. It's obviously nowhere near the greatest wrestling match ever, but they didn't shit the bed either. Of course, that should be a given when you have the benefit of multiple retakes. I did find the use of Howard Finkel's voice to announce the match to be in poor taste given how the company treated him while he was alive.

Watched it today.
I thought it was quite good. Honestly, this is what the WWE should be doing. If they are going to overproduce, just go all out in this era. Put at least one banger on every show with reshoots and piped in crowd noise (which I actually enjoyed after a few minutes). This was more or less the best match I think these two could produce, particularly in this setting.

The card actually looks pretty good. I watched a bit of it, but just turned it off, womens chamber was pretty fun for what it was. I don't think Cody will be returning for this show though, even though a lot of people do. Saudi shows are always interesting.

Overall, not a bad show. They got the results right, even if it was predictable. I haven't watched all the KSA shows, but this seems like pretty easily the best one.
I know they have run it a bunch, but this build to Reigns v Brock feels pretty epic. Given their history and where they are in their careers, they seemed to have brought this story to a peak at the right moment and in the right way. I expect them to beat the hell out of each other. I hope they don't overthink it. Just pick a winner and have two big tough dudes go in there and do big tough dude stuff to each other.
I wasn't necessarily disappointing there was no Cody, but I probably wouldn't have watched the whole thing live if I didn't think there was a chance. I thought there was probably a 35-45% chance and that was enough for me to pop it on while I did a little work.

I haven't watched all the KSA shows, but this seems like pretty easily the best one. Any matches you would recommend from the show? Also, I just saw Brock won the world title again, poor Bobby. I don't feel like Roman vs Brock needed to have title vs title though, like yeah it makes it a bigger deal, but having the two main mens titles on different people allows for more story opportunities. At least Ronda vs Charlotte will main event if they do the two night Mania again. Either way the match will be awesome, can't wait for it. Roman should hold the title until next Mania to be honest, I don't want Brock taking it off him, the Rock or a debuting wrestler they want to push should take the title of Roman in my opinion.

I'd recommend Lita/Becks and the mens chamber. The rest was fine.
I think they are potentially about to paint themselves into a corner with reigns. At a certain point you make someone so dominant that you can't take the belt off them really. If Reigns beats Brock and holds it another year there is no way a debuting wrestler can take it. They would need to be carefully building someone starting NOW and I just don't trust wwe to have the focus. I think big banter Brock is as good a choice as any. I suppose the Rock would feel deserving, but they wont have him for more than a night or two, so that feels foolish. I think they should actually take this chance to take the belt off reigns. An alternative would be to have Cody beat him. I think they have the chance to present Cody as a real top level star. I'm not sure how long I think lasts. I guess I really like what they have done to reigns, but ending it has to done with thought and care or a lot of that will feel wasted. Brock doesn't' need it, but he wouldn't feel like a disappointing choice, especially if he is around more often and continues to have - ya know - personality, and you know he would have momentum they COULD at least use to their advantage after. Otherwise, they have some work to do building a credible challenger.

Brock is on a fantastic run right now. And just going off of todays show, I heard he looked like (no pun intended) a beast in the chamber. That F5 off the pod was awesome. I don't really know why, but Brock beating Roman and becoming a double champion doesn't really do it for me, Roman should definitely win at Mania. I do agree though about the fact that they're about to book themselves into a corner, cause other than the ideas I threw out, I don't know who else should beat Roman. And let me rephrase myself, a "debuting" wrestling isn't what I meant. I meant like a new star who WWE wants to push, not they debut beating Roman. It should be carefully built like you said, the first person to beat Roman during this run will be a HUGE deal, which is why I think it needs to be with a newer and younger wrestler. WWE has been lacking of star power (other than a handful of people) for a bit now, and to make new stars you have to make booking decisions like that, they'd look like a HUGE deal! The question though is, who should it be. If we look at the NXT roster the only person I see them doing this too is Bron Breakker, and I don't watch NXT enough anymore to know if that's the right decision.

I don’t usuallly watch the KSA shows but I watched and enjoyed the show. In addition to the matches Cap recommended I’d suggest the women’s chamber. This women’s division should feel so much bette than it is, but everyone had moments to shine and Bianca and Ripley came off like superstars again.
Men’s chamber once Lesnar came in was kind of sad. There wasn’t much for him to do but steamroll the field in short order, and it was the right thing to do in context but these guys are probably the backbone of a post-Brock main event scene in Raw and they feel small time.

I agree the women's chamber was pretty good. The home stretch was better than I expected.
On the Reigns/Brock issue and who should end this title run, I think they could potentially have something with Riddle. If they wanted to build him to be the one to beat Reigns they COULD. However, it would take some careful booking, patience, and focus... not things I expect from WWE storytelling. In principle I totally agree with und1sputed though. In an ideal world these sorts of streaks are used to elevate someone. That has proven over the years to be easier said than done though.

Riddle is an interesting choice. I love Riddle and his past work, but I think they've ruined his potential to be a serious main eventer on the main roster. Right now he's just a comedy guy who rides a scooter and can put on a good match. I don't see him facing, let alone beating Roman, like at all.
This is now just making me think of all the great wrestlers WWE have messed up in my eyes. Riddle, Chad Gable, Cesaro, Shelton Benjamin, Dominik Dijack, and Cedric Alexander (just to name a few). People like Shelton, Cedric, and Dijack are only being shown on like main event, and the rest of the people I said are either comedy guys now or they just lose all the time. At least Riddle and Gable are now getting used in a title picture, I'd just rather see them as more serious wrestlers. Sucks to see. I think I'm going to go rewatch Cedric Alexander vs Kota Ibushi now.

I don't know. I think if they wanted to (and I think they will ultimately want to) they could turn Riddle serious and into a main eventer. But your point about where he is now is exactly why I said it will take time, focus, and patience. I assume they are setting up the Riddle/Orton match for mania and they could spin him in a new direction after.
This is the point I often make when it comes to modern wwe. It does feel like they waste a lot of talent and i think that is probably true regardless of your tastes. No matter what you like, wwe has probably squandered some people who do that really well. My problem with them is not that they do bad wrestling a lot of the time or even that they waste talent. Those people are getting paid and I don't HAVE to watch anything. My problem is always that they prove over and over that they CAN do good wrestling with even the smallest amount of care and attention. It is frustrating because it keeps me believing there is a chance for greatness haha

I assume they are setting up the Riddle/Orton match for mania and they could spin him in a new direction after. Great point there Cap. If they are going for the RKBro split up feud, the only correct result in my eyes is Riddle, so sending him down a new direction after that (like you said) would be very smart. But yeah, at this point I don't see a lot in WWE giving us greatness, so I'm just kind of numb to it. Like, I'll get frustrated at bad booking, but I don't have hopes for them to drop a classic storyline on us. It's always nice when something good does happen though lol. And it sucks that WWE have effectivally killed off NXT, as I used to be a HUGE NXT fan. At least AEW is on the run of its life right now, it's the only wrestling show I watch week to week and I don't see that changing.
