I don't THINK there is going to be a ton of movement at the tippy top of my list, but a few things that stand out as changes that feel substantial for me....
I finally came around on Fujiwara vs Super Tiger as elite. It isn't just on my list, it is going to do quite well. Yokota vs Galactica jumps on the list in a big way as well. The biggest drop for me is probably Jumbo vs Misawa. I still obviously think highly of the match, but it just hasn't held up next to the other elite matches on my list.
HHH vs Bryan fell off my list last year and it is going back on.
Takada vs Backlund, Piper vs Valentine (7/9/1983), Steve Grey vs Clive Myers are all on the cusp of falling off the list.
I might add Shamrock vs Sano to that. It took a big dive down my list and isn't quite brink, but I wouldn't be shocked.
I also no longer have a Funks vs Butcher and Sheik match on my list, but that COULD change again before I submit because that one hurt a little.
When I submitted my 2020 list I had never watched battlart tag. The first one someone showed me is now on my list.

I was originally fearful that I was weighing heavily toward too much Danielson and Funk and I looked at my latest draft and I have more Kenta Kobashi matches than anyone else. I find this most fascinating because I never necessarily considered myself a Kobashi guy, yet I guess I became one unknowingly. For a while during this project I was down on 90s AJPW and 00s NOAH but revisiting them to double-check I’m reigniting my spirit for those guys.

I'll have a lot of Tanahashi on my list. Like, a lot. Probably second for total matches on my ballot right after Kobashi. Dude's catalogue is insane. He even added a top 25 contender in this very year (vs Jay White for the NEVER Championship, seriously, go watch that match, it's almost perfect). A living legend and probably the greatest big match worker ever.

Most of my changes are happening at the top of my list. Ibushi Vs Nakamura and 6/3/94 fall out of my top 10 and Kudo Vs Toyoda and Shibata Vs Okada replace them. Clash 6, Ms1 Vs Sangre Chicana, Styles Vs Daniels Vs Joe, and Shibata Vs Ishii all are out of the top 20 (MS1 Vs Sangre Chicana falls pretty far) and Dump Vs Omori, Bret Vs Owen, Tanahashi Vs Suzuki, and Okada Vs Ibushi all come in.
Also as Tetsujin says, go watch Tanahashi Vs White. Such a great match.

It feels like the general hype of that match has quietly fallen a bit.

Ironically, I just rewatched that match the other day and it jumped into my Top 10 from Top 50.

I'm going to give it a watch before the ballot as I will probably watch my top 15 or so in reverse order (per my tradition) to make sure they are in the right spots for me at this moment.

I re-watched it back to back with Atlantis Vs Villano III and that match stood out to me more than this one. It's still a 5 star match to me and still comfortably on my list, but it's probably my lowest ranked 5 star match.

Based on my preliminary ballot:
There was a total turnover of 22 matches from 2020. Only five matches in my 2020 top 50 ended up falling off entirely, so it was mostly in the bottom half. The highest-ranked 2020 matches that fell off in 2021 are Clash 6, Chi-Town Rumble, and 6/5/89. Right now, I feel like I'd be perfectly happy if I never saw another Ric Flair match for as long as I live (Flair/Funk at the 1989 GAB excepted). I've also lost interest in Jumbo and Tenryu singles matches. They're both well-represented on my ballot, but only in tags and six-mans.
The biggest risers from 2020 are Misawa/Kawada vs. Jumbo/Taue from the 1991 RWTL and Kawada/Fuchi vs. Nagata/Iizuka, which both rose 47 places. Next is Guerrero/Mysterio from the 6/23/05 Smackdown, which rose 43 places (in contrast to Halloween Havoc, which fell 32 places). RWTL finals involving Burning also made huge leaps. The 1999 final vs. Hansen/Taue rose 41 places, and the 1998 final vs. Hansen/Vader rose 39 places.
The biggest faller from 2020 is 7/29/93 Hansen/Kobashi, which fell a whopping 50 places. Several other legendary All Japan matches also took significant hits. 12/16/88 fell 46 places, 12/6/96 fell 35 places, and 4/20/91 fell 30 places. Less dramatically but perhaps more surprisingly, 6/3/94 and Hokuto/Kandori from Dreamslam both fell out of my top 10. My seemingly immutable top four for roughly the past decade had consisted of 6/9/95-6/3/94-Dreamslam-1/20/97 in that order, so that's a pretty big shakeup.
Some of the placings on my preliminary list strike me as incongruously high or low, so those exact numbers might not hold up when I finalize my ballot. But that's where I'm at right now.

6/5/89 is also a match I was convinced was gonna be top tier (because I've always had it at 5* and that's a top 20 lock garanteed) but when rewatchedw this time, it's not even gonna get ranked. Still a great match with a lot of history value, but the ringwork, while pretty intense, was a bit hit or miss to me. Too many restholds in a match I don't think needed them, a few sequences where they seemed lost, and I wish "heel" jealous Jumbo was as present in the match as I remembered it, but sadly the character work just wasn't there much of the time.

I'm putting Andre vs Hansen #1 this time. If aliens came to earth and asked me "what is pro-wrestling?" i'd just show them that match.

I am impressed with how willing people are to shake things up, I am going to rethink some matches and make sure I am not ranking out of a sense of obligation.
Re: Tetsujin’s comment I had a similar feeling watching 6/5/89, It didn’t really pull me in and now it is at the point where once I rank I might remove it in favor a of a favorite.
Re: Elliott’s comment On the other hand when I rewatched Andre and Hansen it did feel like it grew in stature and had a certain timelessness.

Hansen/André is a great choice and one I won't be surprised if it ends at the overall top 10 this time. The only thing I don't like is the fact that it ends at no contest again, after being restarted. If you restart a match, make one of them win then, otherwise playing with the first no contest finish has no payoff.
