I never understood why folks don’t like that finish. It’s the ultimate hoss fight. The idea is they can’t be controlled. There’s no choice but to try and stop this thing or they’re gonna kill each other and tear the building down.

I get the idea, that's why it's cool the first time it happens. If the match ended there, no problem. But once you restart it and have the crowd go insane for the match to continue, the most satisfying finish would have been a clear winner, to me at least.

I'll work more on the stats a bit later but looking at it now, there's a lot of shifting but my #1 stays the same. I only have 2 Flair singles matches on it than the 7-10 I had last year and both moved down the list. Matches like Misawa/Kobashi from 2003, Joe vs. Punk 2, 1992 Royal Rumble match, Santo vs. Casas 1997 skyrocketed on my ballot. I also have 2 Kenny Omega matches on my list where in the past would have been unthinkable but I've turned the corner on him. I also have 4 Undertaker matches on my list where I only had 1 on the last 2 ballots.

So Flair is dropping for a lot of folks and the Tenryu/Jumbo match (which is a top 10 lock for me) is REALLY dropping. And a lot of folks are higher on 3/1/03 (which will not make my list, after rewatching it). I am very excited to take part in this, as someone who followed last year but didn’t join until after the results were in. I am also excited to see Elliott’s list. No offense to anyone but his are the most interesting ones.

I agree, I always love seeing Elliot's lists as they are great recommendations for me to end up checking out.

I am sorry for not participating on this board in 2021 as much in the past. I had a lot going on in my personal life and my interest in watching pro wrestling waned until August when all of sudden 80s Inoki reignited my passion. I was able to complete my watch of 85-89 New Japan and 85-89 All Japan. I made a serious dent into JWA and started my 50s watch. I watched a lot more TV wrestling from the 80s, TNA/Impact and Lucha Underground so I didnt watch as many Great Matches that caused very little turnover. Only 6 matches dropped and 6 matches added.
6 Matches Added: Tenryu & Kawada vs Hansen & Gordy (AJPW - 12/16/1988 NWA United National Champion Antonio Inoki vs Jack Brisco - JWA 8/5/71 Jumbo Tsuruta & Yoshiaki Yatsu vs Genichiro Tenryu & Stan Hansen - AJPW 12/6/89 Real World Tag Finals NWA International Champion Giant Baba vs Fritz Von Erich - JWA 12/3/66 Two Out of Three Falls AJPW Triple Crown Champion Jumbo Tsuruta vs Genichiro Tenryu - AJPW 6/5/89 IWGP Jr. Heavyweight Champion Jushin Liger vs Naoki Sano - NJPW 8/10/89 (Added back, it was on 2019, fell off and came back on in 2021)
6 Matches Dropped: Lawler vs Dundee - '83 LLT Lawler vs Mantel - '82 Barbed Wire Match AJ vs Suzuki - 2014 G-1 Climax Savage vs Steamboat - Wrestlemania III Tamura vs Kohsaka 6/98 Vader vs Takada - August 1994
