I have about 350 DVDs; like Cap, some of the best ones I own are the commercial comp releases.
Some of my favorites:
Both Misawa sets Both Kobashi sets RWTL 1977-1999 (HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!) Tenryu set Jumbo set Hashimoto set

I am expecting my list to have about 25% new matches ant probably a good bit shifting within the list. I have about 10 new matches I’d consider locks and I think there will be a lot of shifting on the bottom half.
I don’t know if I will rewatch all 100 matches, but I am thinking about watching some “classic canon” vs “wider canon” matches side by side to see if some of those things have held up.
Right now I am still in exploration mode. I haven’t been commenting as much but I’m in a good viewing mode and feel good about how I’ve been tracking it this year.
Anyway, I am excited for this year’s project; I think it’s gonna be wild.

Oh, and I am generally late to the game on DVDs and do a lot of watching on a tablet or phone. But if anyone has a good and reliable source for DVDs for purchase, I’d be curious. I’m particularly thinking about DVDVR 80s sets or goodhelmet comps of some of my GWE candidates. Don’t want to derail this thread, so if anyone would message me I’d appreciate it.
Thanks.

Pro wrestling fandom is so atomized that I don't know that there is such a thing as widely accepted canon. There are certain matches like 6/3/94 and Flair/Steamboat that most serious fans are at least somewhat familiar with, but even something like Hokuto/Kandori is relatively niche. In my experience, most modern fans are largely ignorant of 90s joshi outside of Manami Toyota. Meanwhile, none of the legendary Tiger Mask/Dynamite Kid matches have appeared on a single ballot for this project.
As for me, I've been re-evaluating matches for the past few months. Right now, there are at least three matches on my 2021 ballot that I definitely won't be voting for next time and a couple of matches I didn't vote for in 2021 (one of which was because it hadn't happened yet) that are locks for my next ballot. Beyond that, all bets are off. I am reasonably certain about what the top half will look like in terms of composition if not order. A few long-time favorites of mine have tumbled from that position, but I don't anticipate them falling off entirely. As for the rest of my ballot, everything from a handful of changes to a complete overhaul of the bottom quarter or so is on the table at this point. By the way, I was never involved in the tape trading scene. Growing up, I was far more into the storyline drama aspect of wrestling than the in-ring action. In fact, I don't even think I had a favorite match until about 2004. My first real exposure to the so-called canon was through downloading matches on LimeWire and Kazaa.

What were the matches in the 2021 ballot that you won't be voting on? Danielson/Suzuki A lot of stuff in my bottom 25 Two matches I considered myself a champion for: Orange Cassidy v. PAC Oney Lorcan v. Lars Sullivan Most 90s AJPW and 2010s Stuff in general. I looked at my list and I laugh at it because my tastes have continued to evolve.

What were the matches in the 2021 ballot that you won't be voting on? Allin/Cage, Lawler/Dutch, and Ikeda/Otsuka. I'm pretty sure those were the last three matches I settled on for my ballot, so it's no big surprise.

What were the matches in the 2021 ballot that you won't be voting on? There are a couple that may move up but I suspect most of my bottom 15 is going to get bumped off. 2 matches that are a little bit higher that I think are likely to fall off are Flair vs Steamboat 2/3 falls and Baba vs Destroyer. 100 matches is not a lot, so I may be killing a few more darlings when all is said and done.

Oney Lorcan v. Lars Sullivan Who are these people? Lars Sullivan had a lot of potential to be WWE’s next big monster, but had a litany of issues. This match showed that potential better than any other. Oney Lorcan is the WWE name for Biff Busick. It’s a two minute match with lots of face slapping. viewsfromthehawkesnest.files.wordpress.com/2017/09/loc.gif

So far, these have fallen off, but I'm hoping to get to watch them again before I submit.
Wayne Shamrock vs Naoki Sano (UWFi – 5/19/1991) - I think it might be about how long it has been since I've sat down with it in combination with how much more I wound up loving the Suzuki/Sano match. I had this really high at one point and every time I would look at my list I felt compelled to drop it more.
Daniel Bryan vs Brock Lesnar (WWE – 11/18/2018) - This one is so weird to me. I think it is a perfect match, but it feels out of place on my list. I think it is because it has always felt like they left a good bit on the table. I don't know. I love it all the same.
Kenta Kobashi vs Stan Hansen (AJPW – 4/10/1994) - I had, at one point, 4 matches between these two, this being the lowest. I'll be anxious to see if this blows me away again on rewatch and forces its way back on my list.
Gilbert Cesca vs Billy Catanzarro (France – 5/2/1957) - I keep saying I am going to dig into the french catch stuff and I keep putting it off. I just don't know what to make of this match. I think it is awesome, but I haven't felt compelled to watch it in years, I don't know how it holds up to the other matches. I can't really fairly compare it to literally anything else, so I have to take it off the list until I can dig in a bit more.

Matches like Punk/Lesnar, Bryan/Lesnar, Shield v. Bryan/Kane/Ryback, Bret v. Diesel. Those are all going. I think they’re all great matches and some of the best things the company did and stuff that I really enjoy. But, especially with all the 80s wrestling I’ve been watching, I just don’t see myself having room for those matches.
Misawa v. Steve Williams is also going. 4/20/91 as well, Misawa v. Jumbo 6/8/90 is off but 9/1 might be on.

I just do not get Bryan vs Lesnar at all. I couldn't even tell Bryan was supposed to be the heel. Major disappointment

It was heel vs heel so kinda a weird vibe. Bryan had only turned heel a few days earlier to win the title from AJ. There was no program between him and Brock, just a match booked as a one-off Raw champ vs Smackdown champ showcase.
I think it has a five star home stretch but I didn't like the first half of the match much at all. The suplex city heat section went way too long and had zero struggle (would've worked better if Bryan had been a face and could've played it for sympathy). They should have taken several minutes out of that stretch and let Bryan stall and dodge for longer at the start.
That finishing stretch though, still sucks me in. Feels like a tease of an all time classic match that sadly we never got.
