We disagree One little note, about the piledrivers that are blown off, is that the piledriver wasn't a major move in joshi. Even back in the 80s you'd see piledrivers like that shrugged off so it isn't as egregious as it would be if it happened in Memphis or something. Not making a judgement call on if that's good or bad but it is a quirk of the style overall.

I voted for Misawa/Kobashi (#2, 99 pts) but none of the other All Japan matches because I didn't get a chance to rewatch the others. I wonder how much that will swing things for Misawa/Kobashi. I think it will go top 5.

I think it will go top 5. Why would you submit a ballot you knew was incomplete and would skew the results? Because you watched all the nominated matches!?! I have reviewed over 1900 matches on PWO. I am a top 5 poster on this forum. That contributes to discussion. I read what others say and take it seriously and go watch the matches they recommend. Others feel similarly about the matches I recommend. You are some Johnny-Come-Lately who did not participate in this discussion. You Did not make his thoughts and feelings known. The results are not what matter it is the discussion. On PWO, you don't have nearly the amount of reviews that I have. You're the unknown not me. People know where I stand. Who are you? It is celebrating our mutual love of Pro Wrestling. I am an inclusive person and believe you have a right to vote. But don't you ever say I do NOT have to the right to vote. EDIT: When I wrote this I was quite angry. I still stand by what I said. I did remove "You Prick". I'm not in the best mood because of my personal life. I came on here for some relief and instead I get attacked that I should NOT have voted. It really bothers me that you didn't participate in the discussion and are telling me I should not have voted. I really love Pro Wrestling and felt like you were attacking my love. I apologize for calling you a "prick". I should not have let it bother me because I know how much the rest of this community appreciates me. You are just one voice and you're entitled to your opinion. I really like how open and nice the discussion has been so I don't want to be one that causes a flame war.

I don't think it'd be possible to submit a totally complete ballot with no holes in it anyway. I never got one sent in, but the one I intended to had tonnes of gaps and the one I'll submit next year will too. How lists change as the project goes on is part of the fun.

Thanks KB8 for the support and doing it with a more civil tone than I could originally achieve. 😊

No worries. It happens. Forums are hard because not only do you have text based convo and miss all nonverbals but we don't REALLY know each other that well.

All anger, harsh words and vitriol should be directed where they belong: Towards Hansen/Kawada or Jerryvonkramer's twitter account

#10-#1 posted!
Not a ton of surprises at the top, but a really compelling overall list I think. Thanks again to everyone who voted and everyone involved. Hopefully we continue to grow the project in the future.
Thoughts on the results? What (matches, styles, eras, etc) would you like to see be higher next year? Biggest surprise?

We've got to get a lucha match in the top 10. Even if cap and I had both put it at one instead of 2, it wouldn't have made top 10. For specific matches, Wargames 87 I'm not going to shut up about until it makes the list. That should be one of those consensus picks everyone likes.
I also think Kandori vs Masami should do better considering how 90s AJ heavy the final 100 is. That match has always felt paced like a Misawa/Kobashi match only with blood and hatred at the end.

I would sort of agree with those takes, though I am not as bullish on wargames 87.
I was pleasently surprised by how much lucha made the top 100 on the whole, but I would like to see the average placement upped just a touch.
I would love to see Eddie vs JBL and the "other" Kobashi/Hansen match get a little more love. Those both strike me as matches that have a lot of characteristics that are often praised in other matches.

Not a totally surprising top 10, though I was silently hoping Misawa/Kobashi landed #1, if for no reason other than the fact I watched it recently enough to actually remember it and it would've made my own top 5.
MS-1/Chicana is my working #2 so that might push it into top 10 range next year. Then again, I doubt I'll be the only new voter next year so who knows.
Anyways, this was super fun. I suck for not getting a list in but next year I won't be such a scumbag. Prolly.

I actually prefer the other Hansen Kobashi match because of the finish. Also surprised Nothing from Park made its way into the top 100. I would have figured either his brawl with Santo or one of his brawls with Wagner would have made it. Also surprised that the Great American Bash 89 was top twenty. I mean I don't even put that in my top 20 Funk matches.
