A few really cool things (Sangra Chicana/MS-1 in the top 10, Kandori/Hokuto at #2) and lots of shuffling, but 90s AJPW gonna 90s AJPW.
I'll come back later to post my fuller thoughts later. I have commented here and there but I have tried to limit my global comments since I know the results and I didn't want to spoil anything. I gotta get on some work stuff first though.

That's a strong finish for Hokuto/Kandori, breaking the All Japan stranglehold on the top 2. I started going through some of the All Japan heavy hitters a few months ago, but never got around to 6/3/94 or 6/9/95 (to name a couple). I want to rewatch ten of the real upper tier 90s All Japan matches over the course of the next year, though I'm not sure it's likely to dent 6/9/95 as the overall winner (I mean I never voted for it this year because I haven't seen it in about 14 years and it never stopped it).
Enjoyed the countdown and participating this year. Great work from all involved.

8 #1 picks for 6/9/95 is insane. Hokuto Vs Kandori may just take #1 next year. This is a really top-notch list. Still no Hashimoto in the top 100 though.

19. Katsuyori Shibata vs Kazuchika Okada (IWGP Title - NJPW - 4/9/2017)
Wow, a monster finish for this one. I guess people find that it ages better than most of the NJPW matches from the 2016-2018 era. Personally not a fan but I get the appeal.
15. Kiyoshi Tamura vs Tsuyoshi Kohsaka (RINGS – 6/27/1998)
The only big shoot-style match to actually gain spots. Great performance, Top 15 is well deserved.
11. Mankind vs Shawn Michaels (WWF World Title - WWF - 9/22/1996)
I'm amazed at how well this did. I expected Top 25 but not borderline Top 10. Kudos.
10. Sangre Chicana vs MS-1 (Hair vs Hair – EMLL – 9/23/1983)
Lucha in the Top 10 is a huge win.
2. Akira Hokuto vs Shinobu Kandori (AJW - 4/2/1993)
What a finish. A part of me wanted this to take the #1 spot. You could argue it benefited from being on 1-2 extra ballots, relative to 6/3/1994 and 1/20/1997. But that is in itself a huge win since this was the most well represented match. Plus its average vote is very comparable.
1. Kenta Kobashi and Mitsuharu Misawa vs Toshiaki Kawada and Akira Taue (All Japan Tag League Championship - AJPW - 6/9/1995)
Obvious #1 is obvious. Ungodly average vote.
Overall a great list, even better than the one from last year. Plus, I'm happier with the ballot I submitted this time around.

I was the only one to not vote for Akira Hokuto/Kandori. I have never seen a Joshi match. I think this just made Joshi Leapfrog Lucha on my watchlist.
For 2021 my watchlist is Ring of Honor 2002-2009 (at the least) All TNA/Impact All Japan 1985-1992 New Japan 1980-1989 Then Need to decide among Joshi, Lucha, Puerto Rico, Portland, World of Sport, 1950s-70s Wrestling
Lots of good stuff to watch!

Ok... a few thoughts.
First, my favorite things about this list.
1) Kandori/Hokuto not only getting the #2 spot, but being the only match to get onto 15/16 ballots is incredible. What's more, being only 37 points behind the #1 match is jaw dropping considering it got only #1 vote compared to 6/9/95's 8! That is a real testament to a match that I consider to be the greatest match of all time.
2) Eddie vs JBL getting into the top 50 is pretty huge. It jumped up in a big way and I am all for it. I think it reflects a great appreciation for Eddie's gutsiest performance.
3) A lucha match belongs in the top 10. Unrelated, Sangre Chicana vs MS-1 belongs in the top 10. I am really happy it made it.
4) Shibata vs Okada placing well is nice to see. I have the least amount of confidence in matches that are less than 5 years old, but I feel good about that match belonging on the list and deserving a good spot. I also think the list feels more complete with some modern matches spliced in.
5) Lots of movement, but nothing that felt unearned or like a fluke.
6) Lots more to watch and discover. Working on the ballot, so much caught my eye. There is always more great wrestling out there.
Disappointments
1) Sano vs Suzuki is better than my single vote. haha. In all seriousness. It is probably the only match I am disappointing in its placement of. I absolutely love it. If I am the only one who thinks its a top 100 match that is fine, but I want to encourage folks to give it a watch or rewatch.
2) AJPW's dominance of the top 10 isn't a BAD thing, but a little more diversity at the top would be refreshing. This list feels a bit more diverse on the whole, and I don't want the list to be novel for novelty sake... Hell, I have quite a few in my top 10. I just think it would be interesting if some other matches cracked the top 10 (as long as its not at the expense of Sangre Chicana vs MS-1.

I'm pleased to see the gap narrow between 10/19/90 and 4/20/91. On the other hand, 1983 Lawler/Dundee continues to get a raw deal. I suspect it's because it isn't readily available online. In fact, that would be my suggestion going forward. Maybe we can set up a Google Drive or something for match uploads so that no match gets shafted by inaccessibility.

Even if there were moves up and down the list I don't agree with or matches not ranking high enough, I like how different it is compared to last year's. I also love the representation in different match styles. There is truly something for everyone that finished in the top 100.

I would be happy to contribute to a google drive to house matches relevant to this project if someone else wants to organize and host it.

4) Shibata vs Okada placing well is nice to see. I have the least amount of confidence in matches that are less than 5 years old, but I feel good about that match belonging on the list and deserving a good spot. I also think the list feels more complete with some modern matches spliced in. I forget where I saw it (may have been Cagematch), but someone said that Shibata's performance was the greatest performance by a wrestler ever. I'm not sure I would say it's number 1, but it absolutely is one the greatest ever. But at the same time, I don't think that match is as effective as it is without Okada. The cocky, hotshot prodigy turned dominant ace is the perfect foil for the more gritty, sentimental favorite in Shibata.

Yeah there's no way that match would've had the same impact if the opponent wasn't Okada. He also had great timing with every comeback attempt and had a terrific selling throughout the whole thing. But yeah, Shibata's the protagonist there. Legendary performance.

100% agree. This is Shibata's finest hour, which is ironic, fitting, and tragic all at once. However, Okada is the only possible backdrop for such a performance.
