Super happy for the Anniversary Nigel/Bryan match making it!! People really need to take that one on consideration for what it accomplishes. A very special match.

74-T. Nigel McGuinness vs Bryan Danielson (ROH World Title - ROH - 2/23/2008) Total Points: 384 # of Ballots: 5 High Vote: Darrenn - 10 2020 Finish: 165
Ok… I watched this feud back a couple years ago and loved this match, but clearly I need to give it a serious look again. One of my favorite rivalries in wrestling, so maybe I’ll find something new to appreciate and love here.
70. Shinsuke Nakamura vs Kota Ibushi (IWGP IC Title – NJPW – 1/4/2015) Total Points: 400 # of Ballots: 7 High Vote: Kas - 11 2020 Finish: 71
I was just thinking about how awesome it was when Nakamura was one of the greatest wrestlers in the world and you knew he was game on the big stage. I hope he is fulfilled in the WWE, but man… I miss NJPW Nak.
66-T. Kenta Kobashi vs Samoa Joe (ROH – 10/2/2005) Total Points: 421 # of Ballots: 8 High Vote: Tetsujin - 28 2020 Finish: 106
Really glad this made the top 100. I always say that this might be the most impressive match in terms of living up to unreasonable expectations. I have no idea how they managed to outdue what fans were imagining from them in 2005.
64-T. Shinobu Kandori vs Bull Nakano (Chain Match – AJW/LLPW – 7/14/1994) Total Points: 422 # of Ballots: 7 High Vote: mvz - 4 2020 Finish: 83
I can’t believe I am not the high vote on this anymore. Really happy to see this match moving up the list a bit and getting a monster top 5 vote.
57. Eddie Guerrero vs John Bradshaw Layfield (WWE World Title – WWE – 5/16/2004) Total Points: 447 # of Ballots: 8 High Vote: EnviousStupid - 1 2020 Finish: 43 I also can’t believe I am no longer the high vote on this. Shame that this dropped a bit, but middle of the list is very respectable and getting a #1 vote is AWESOME!

I love that Warrior-Savage Joe-Kobashi and Punk-Lesnar broke into the top 100. They are different but definitely worthy. The variety in the back end of the top 100 is cool to see.

Number #60 appears as a tie, but there's no other #60 on the list, and its points don't match with neither #62 nor #59. If there's a tie, another match is missing, but if there's not any tie, the matches from #60-#51 need to be ranked as #61-#52.

I just added the second #60 match. It was a Terry Funk match! Another angel just got its wings.

49. Stan Hansen vs Carlos Colon (Texas Bullrope Match – CWP – 1/6/1987) Total Points: 480. # of Ballots: 10 High Vote: Bossrock - 28 2020 Finish: 53
When we first started this project and I drafted out my original list, this match was in the top 10. It has since fallen into the middle of the pack for me. I should watch it again before next time.
45. Akira Hokuto vs Meiko Satomura (GAEA - 4/29/2001) Total Points: 492 # of Ballots: 8 High Vote: Grimmas - 6 2020 Finish: 313
Another big riser for a joshi. I do love this match. Hokuto is masterful in this one and Satomura shows exactly why she would become one of the best in the world. This is another one I need to watch again before next time. It actually slipped off my list and I’ve never felt great about it.
37. Devil Masami vs Chigusa Nagayo (WWWA All Pacific Title – AJW – 8/22/1985) Total Points: 581 # of Ballots: 9 High Vote: Cap - 3 2020 Finish: 73
Huge riser for me this year. Well, really only 7 or 8 spots, but #3 felt like a monster ranking when I put there. Every time I watch this match, I like it more. It is preposterous that these two put on one of the greatest title fights in wrestling history at their age.
35. Hiroshi Tanahashi vs Minoru Suzuki (IWGP Heavyweight Title - NJPW - 10/8/2012) Total Points: 633 # of Ballots: 11 High Vote: Control21 - 10 2020 Finish: 70
This ALMOST made my list this year…. ALMOST. It might just crack it next year. This is another one I like more every time I watch it.
34. Jumbo Tsuruta and Genichiro Tenryu vs Riki Choshu and Yoshiaki Yatsu (NWA International Tag Titles - AJPW – 1/28/1986) Total Points: 648 # of Ballots: 12 High Vote: - EnviousStupid - 4 2020 Finish: 30
This fell off my list this year. I don’t know what it was. I still think it is an elite 5 star classic match, but something didn’t connect with me in the same way. That said, a lot of the stone cold classics dropped a touch for me in the home stretch. It is also getting added to my “to watch for GME” list
33. Sgt. Slaughter vs Iron Sheik (Bootcamp Match – WWF – 6/16/1984) Total Points: 652 # of Ballots: 12 High Vote: Grimmas - 13 2020 Finish: 44
I really like that this match crept up the list a bit. I have this in the back half of my list and that is starting to feel kinda low.

I can't believe I wasn't the higher vote on Meiko/Hokuto, that makes me happier than expected. Unbelievable match.

47-T. Dangerous Alliance vs. Sting's Squadron (War Games - WCW - 5/17/1992)
Total Points: 488
# of Ballots: 7
High Vote: Tim Livingston - 4
2020 Finish: 101
Far and away the best War Games match ever. Just missed out on my list, but I'm glad to see it here.
45. Akira Hokuto vs Meiko Satomura (GAEA - 4/29/2001)
Total Points: 492
# of Ballots: 8
High Vote: Grimmas - 6
2020 Finish: 313
This was a last minute addition to my list after I re-watched it, it's such an awesome offensive display.
41. Jerry Lawler vs Bill Dundee (Loser Leaves Town – Southern Heavyweight Title – CWA – 6/6/1983)
Total Points: 509
# of Ballots: 7
High Vote: JKWebb - 8
2020 Finish: 84
I really need to watch more Jerry Lawler.
38. Manami Toyota/Toshiyo Yamada vs Mayumi Ozaki/Dynamite Kansai (WWWA Tag Team Titles - AJW - 11/26/1992)
Total Points: 532
# of Ballots: 8
High Vote: Tim Livingston - 8
2020 Finish: 63
Happy one of these in the trilogy finished in the top 50.
35. Hiroshi Tanahashi vs Minoru Suzuki (IWGP Heavyweight Title - NJPW - 10/8/2012)
Total Points: 633
# of Ballots: 11
High Vote: Control21 - 10
2020 Finish: 70
Masterpiece. Tetsujin describes it perfectly. Modern New Japan has had a surprising surge this year, which I am very happy to see.
32. Ricky Steamboat vs Ric Flair (NWA World Heavyweight Title - NWA - 5/7/1989)
Total Points: 656
# of Ballots: 11
High Vote: EnviousStupid - 3
2020 Finish: 76
Been some time since I seen this one, opinion on this seems to be improving year-on-year though so I've gotta prioritise it.
31. Eddy Guerrero vs. Rey Mysterio Jr. (Mask vs. Title - Cruiserweight Title - 10/27/1997)
Total Points: 657
# of Ballots: 11
High Vote: Mattsdmf - 12
2020 Finish: 17
Shame about this falling. It's still one of the most mind-blowing matches I've ever seen.

I rewatched the Casas Santo '97 match recently and it shot up from 'match I really liked' to 'possible GOAT'. Love it pulling a top 5 vote.
I'm not a modern NJPW guy, but I remember thinking that that Tanahashi Suzuki match was great. Will bump it up the rewatch list.
I've never seen the Satomura or Masami matches. Those are huge finishes, guess I should check them out.
