Huge riser for me this year. Well, really only 7 or 8 spots, but #3 felt like a monster ranking when I put there. Every time I watch this match, I like it more. It is preposterous that these two put on one of the greatest title fights in wrestling history at their age. Btw Chigusa was 20 at the time of this match not 21. Jesus. Even more impressive.

Happy to be the high vote on Vader/Sting and Punk/Lesnar. Had Lawler/Dundee at #49.

Glad Tanahashi vs Suzuki got a push this year. That's really a premium match.

Total Points: 450 # of Ballots: 10 High Vote: Tim Livingston - 29 2020 Finish: 121 Primitive. The AMBIANCE of Necro Butcher matches is almost unmatched and this just FEELS like a Necro Butcher match more than any other. It's sort of disturbing. A faux-MMA dickhead rolls into a meth lab trailer park and kicks the living shit out of the lead cook. Necro takes an exploder on his face. The fucking maniac. There it is, folks. The greatest match description anyone will ever give. Pack it in.

Updated through #11!
Only the top 10 remain. You can probably sort out what is in the top 10, but who will take the top spot. Will we get a threepeat? Will the Queens finally snatch the top spot? Will one of the vaunted singles matches from the kings road take it? Will another immensely popular tag match shock the world? Or will a North American made classic steal the show?
Show up Monday and find out!

I should really stop making excuses and go watch this already.
So Hokuto/Kandori, 6/9/1995, Bret/Austin, Hansen/Kobashi, 6/3/1994, Tenryu/Tsuruta, Can-Am/Kobashi & Kikuchi, 12/6/1996, and 1/20/1997. I can't for the life of me think of what the tenth match could be.

Bock/Hennig and Taue/Misawa almost making it to the top 10 is huge. They belong among the very best matches. Also, super amazing that Hansen/André made it!
My prediction for the top 10 order is:
10. Hansen/André 9. Jumbo/Tenryu 8. Misawa/Akiyama vs Kawada/Taue 7. Kobashi/Kikuchi vs Furnass/Kroffat 6. Hansen/Kobashi 5. Kobashi/Misawa 4. Austin/Bret 3. Misawa/Kawada 2. 9/6/95 1. Hokuto/Kandori

I’m kinda surprised honestly that Andre/Hansen popped into the Top 10. For some reason I had the feeling it was dropping. I was kinda hoping there would be some more movement outside of the top 10 but these matches are all pretty undeniable.
I think what I’m most interested in is to see if Kandori/Hokuto finally takes that #1 spot that it probably deserves even if I dropped on it just before voting.

The only way Hokuto/Kandori wins is if they used Dominion voting machines to rig the election. If you count all the legal votes, 6/9/95 wins by a landslide.
